Nintendo reported for the first quarter of fiscal 2024, which ended on June 30. The company reported the highest operating profit in the history of the first quarters.
Operating profit amounted to $1.29 billion, up 82.4% year-on-year. Net sales rose 50% to $3.21 billion.
According to the company, the growth was achieved thanks to the popularity of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom (18.51 million copies sold by June 30) and the movie “Super Mario Brothers in Cinema” ($1.349 billion in fees by July 26).
Nintendo received the most revenue in the Americas — 44.7%. The second largest market was Europe with 22.9%, and the third was Japan with 20%.
