On October 30, The Pokémon Company released a new card game from the franchise for mobile devices. The project already boasts excellent metrics.
As reported by the company on social media, the number of downloads for Pokémon TCG Pocket exceeded 10 million within the first 48 hours.
According to estimates from AppMagic, the game's net IAP revenue has already surpassed $8.5 million. Japan accounts for 39% of the total amount. Following are the USA (31%), New Zealand (4%), Taiwan (3.7%), and Hong Kong (3.6%).
So far, the project's daily revenue continues to climb. Yesterday, it reached $3.5 million.
Pokémon TCG Pocket is based on the original collectible card game from the franchise, which has been on the market since the late '90s. Users need to collect and trade virtual Pokémon cards and battle against other players.
The project is developed by the mobile studio DeNa, creators of the gacha game Pokémon Masters EX, with support from The Pokémon Company and Creatures Inc. (creators of the tabletop Pokémon TCG).
