Maksut Shadaev at a meeting with journalists said that the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation is preparing a bill similar to the European DMA (Digital Markets Act). If it is accepted, Apple will have to allow Russians to install apps on the iPhone and iPad bypassing the App Store.
The bill should be submitted to the State Duma in the first quarter of 2023.
Earlier, Bloomberg found out that Apple plans to allow the use of third-party iOS app stores in Europe. It is assumed that this will happen next year after the release of iOS 17.
