The head of the Ministry of Finance Maksut Shadaev sent a letter with such a proposal to Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Grigorenko at the end of April. But the letter got to the disposal of the media only now, its contents were shared by Kommersant.

According to the publication, the current rules do not allow “a sufficient number of Russian companies” to add their products to the register. Now one of the main requirements is the participation of a Russian person in a software developer of at least 50%. However, Shadaev suggests looking primarily not at the share, but at the one who actually controls the company.

Grigorenko has already submitted a proposal to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economy. It is expected that it can be approved by May 20.
