Sales of Helldivers 2 exceeded one million copies, the developers of DC Universe Online were cut, — we tell you what happened in the gaming industry over the weekend.

- Arrowhead Studio CEO Johan Pilestedt wrote on Twitter that in three days the Helldivers 2 cooperative shooter sold about a million copies. According to him, the popularity of the game has significantly exceeded the expectations of the studio, so the servers are not yet able to accommodate everyone who wants to play. Recently, the developers raised the bandwidth of Helldivers 2 by 110 thousand simultaneous users, and after five and a half minutes of online play, it reached the maximum possible level again. Currently, the peak online Helldivers 2 on PC and PlayStation is 360 thousand people — the game cannot accept more yet. According to SteamDB, about half of the online accounts for the Steam version of the project. At its peak, there were 155,926 people in it at the same time.
- The creators of the role-playing action game Last Epoch also announced that sales of their game have reached the million-copy mark. It took her a little less than five years to do this: Last Epoch went into early access on April 30, 2019. Its full release is scheduled for February 21, 2024.
- There has been a wave of layoffs at Daybreak Game Company, Kotaku reports, citing posts by former employees of the company on social networks. In particular, the layoffs affected the team responsible for DC Universe Online. It is unknown how many people have lost their jobs.
