On February 11, the Western press began publishing the first reviews of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Judging by their reviews, the game was a success. She set a record on OpenCritic, receiving the highest rating from the point of view of critics in the history of the platform.

The new Nintendo project received 97 points out of 100. Critics called Tears of the Kingdom a worthy sequel to Breath of the Wild and one of the best games for Nintendo Switch. She was praised for a well-developed open world, freedom for experimentation, a lot of new mechanics and an intriguing plot. Of the minuses, rare bugs and a periodic drop in FPS from 30 to 20 frames per second were noted.

Tears of the Kingdom also took first place on Metacritic according to the critics’ rating among games for Nintendo Switch: its average score, as on OpenCritic, was 97 out of 100.

The release of Tears of the Kingdom will take place on May 12 exclusively on the Nintendo Switch.
