Enthusiast Jason Scott has published digitized audio recordings of speeches by representatives of gaming companies at the Game Developers Conference (GDC), held in 1999. The Telegram channel Gamedev suffering drew attention to this.

In total, Scott digitized 92 cassettes with performances of GDC 1999 participants. According to the Internet archivist, he spent more than two months working with them.

The total duration of audio recordings is more than 70 hours. You can also read text transcripts of speeches. In Scott’s archive there are, for example, presentations by Shigeru Miyamoto from Nintendo, one of the creators of the Half-Life engine Jay Stelly and the developers of Star Wars: Droid Works — the first Lucas Learning game — Collette Michaud and Jonathan Blossom.
