Papergames shared details about the development of the upcoming Infinity Nikki. The CEO of the studio, Runhao Yao, in his official address to fans, revealed that the project is being developed by the efforts of over a thousand specialists.

Runhao highlighted how much Papergames has grown since the release of the first game in the series almost 12 years ago. “The first Nikki game — Nikki Up2U: A Dressing Story — was created by a small group of enthusiasts, there were only a few of us. Today, Infinity Nikki is being developed by a team of over a thousand people,” he emphasized.
Based on this information, journalists from the Chinese portal GameLook speculated that the budget for Infinity Nikki could be comparable to that of Genshin Impact or even exceed it.
The head of Papergames also confirmed that the full release of Infinity Nikki is scheduled for December 5.
According to the counter on the game's website, at the time of writing, Infinity Nikki has collected 32.5 million pre-registrations. This result has already exceeded the developers' expectations. Initially, they aimed to reach 30 million registrations by the release.
