Fleming's position will be filled by:
- Jason Connell — the creative director of the Ghost series;
- Adrian Bentley — the technical director of Sucker Punch Productions, responsible for the development of tools and game systems.
Connell and Bentley will take the helm of Sucker Punch Productions on January 1, 2026. Initially, Fleming will assist them in transitioning into their new roles, but he plans to leave the studio completely by April.
The reason behind Fleming's departure is unknown, as is his future career path. In a LinkedIn post, he shared that he is currently exploring his next steps, with interests ranging from technology and entertainment to even politics.
Under Fleming's leadership, Sucker Punch Productions released many titles, including the Sly Cooper, inFAMOUS, and Ghost series. The latest release was Ghost of Yōtei, launched on October 2, 2025, which achieved sales of 3.3 million copies in its first month.
