In June, it became known that a domestic Video Game Hall of Fame was going to be opened in Russia. Two months later, the Video Game Industry Development Organization (RVI) officially announced its launch.

The Hall of Fame includes not only games, but also iconic people for the Russian industry. To date, seven people have already entered it:

▪️the creator of “Tetris” Alexey Pajitnov;
▪️the creator of the Dendy brand Viktor Savyuk;
▪️founder of Nival Studio Sergey Orlovsky;
▪️presenter of the program “Dandy — New Reality” Sergey Suponev;
▪️Andrey Kuzmin, founder of K-D LAB and KranX Productions studios;
▪️leading programs “From the screw!” Boris Repertur and Anton Zaitsev.

On September 26, RVI will launch the first public vote for the best games and representatives of the Russian gaming industry. It will last a month. Now in the category “Legendary video games”, among others, there are such nominees as Atomic Heart, “Allods Online” and King’s Bounty II, and in the category “People who influenced the industry” — the founder of Nikita, the creator of “Il-2: Stormtrooper” and the editor-in-chief of the magazine “Navigator of the gaming world”. Before the start of voting, gamers can offer additional nominees.
