On June 27, the mobile card game Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, released two years ago in China, had a global release. We look at its first indicators.

Note: two companies were responsible for the publication of Harry Potter: Magic Awakened outside of China. NetEase, which released it in 14 other Asian countries, and Warner Bros. Games, which published the game in the West. Both versions were released on the same day, so for convenience, we combined their metrics.

All data is taken from the AppMagic analytical service.

The revenue of the global version of Harry Potter: Magic Awakened with IAP (including deduction of taxes and shares of stores) for the first week amounted to $2.33 million.

The residents of Japan ($971.8 thousand), the USA ($596.6 thousand) and South Korea ($197.8 thousand) spent the most money.

▪️Weekly downloads of the game amounted to 3.75 million.

In terms of downloads, the main markets were the USA (656.28 thousand), Japan (574.6 thousand) and Brazil (350.5 thousand).

For comparison, the Chinese version of Harry Potter: Magic Awakened earned $26 million in its debut week on the App Store alone and collected 2.04 million downloads. In total, since its release on September 9, 2021, it has earned $263.7 million.
