Respawn has lost the head of development of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. Stig Asmussen quit the studio after nine and a half years of work.
In a comment to Bloomberg, a representative of Electronic Arts said that the developer “decided to go on a new adventure.” He did not specify whether Asmussen plans to get a job at another company or will do something else.
Both Star Wars Jedi were commercially successful. In March, Asmussen told IGN in an interview that he originally conceived this story as a trilogy. But so far, the development of the third part of the series has not been officially announced.
Prior to Respawn, Asmussen worked at Santa Monica Studio, where he worked on the first games of the God of War series. He was also one of the employees of the now closed studio Midway Games.
