"We have asked Apple for additional explanations on this matter in accordance with the law on digital markets," a representative of the European Commission said in a comment to Reuters. "We will also consider whether Apple's actions are in conflict with the Digital Services Act and the regulations governing work between platforms and businesses."
Recall that at the end of January, Apple announced that it would comply with the requirements of the law on digital markets and allow third-party iOS app stores for users from EU countries. Epic Games was going to take advantage of this. She was preparing to release a mobile version of the Epic Games Store on Apple devices in order to bring Fortnite back to iOS. In February, Apple approved a new Epic Games developer account, but recently deleted it.
