The French indie studio DRAMA, working on the shooter Unrecord with a body cam perspective, has closed its seed funding round.

According to the Game Developer portal, the developers received most of the funds from the venture capital fund, The Games Fund. There is no information about other supporters of the studio.

The funds received will be used by DRAMA to strengthen its core team and further develop Unrecord. According to the studio, they are currently working to bring the shooter to a "reliable demo state," after which they will consider the possibility of seeking a publisher and strategic partner.

The creators of Unrecord are developing their game on the Unreal Engine 5 and are focusing on ultra-realistic graphics. The shooter looks so lifelike that gameplay videos spark debates online about whether it's actual video footage.

At the time of writing this news, Unrecord ranks 11th among the most wished-for games on Steam. As of January 2024, the game has been added to 1.2 million wishlists. The release date for Unrecord has not yet been announced.
