The company Pearl Abyss decided to reward its employees for the success of Crimson Desert.

As reported by the Korean publication MTN, last week every employee of Pearl Abyss received a salary increase. The bonus amount was the same for everyone — 5 million won or approximately 3,400 dollars.
This act of generosity was costly for the company. According to the latest report from Pearl Abyss, as of December 31, 2025, the company had a total of 733 employees, including both permanent and temporary staff. Therefore, it could have spent roughly 3.66 billion won (2.5 million dollars) on bonuses.
It is worth noting that Pearl Abyss indeed has something to celebrate. In mid-April, it announced that sales of Crimson Desert exceeded 5 million copies in less than a month.
According to MTN, the last time the company paid generous bonuses was in 2023. Back then, in celebration of a good financial year, it distributed about 8 billion won (5.4 million dollars) among its employees, but all developers received different amounts depending on their performance metrics.
