Atlus has taken on the task of improving working conditions.
Persona 4 Revival
Atlus announced that starting in April, it will begin paying its employees more. The average annual salary will increase by 15% for both full-time and freelance workers. Additionally, the company will raise the starting salary for recent graduates from Japanese universities from 300,000 yen ($1,880) to 330,000 yen ($2,070).
Simultaneously, Atlus plans to reduce the amount of fixed overtime. According to the company, employees can currently work up to 30 hours of overtime each month, but starting in April, this figure will be capped at 20 hours.
As Atlus explained, it wants its employees to work comfortably and maintain a stable standard of living despite the country's inflation. Furthermore, the company hopes that ultimately, these measures will lead to increased productivity and positively impact the games it develops.
At present, Atlus is working on Persona 4 Revival — a remake of the fourth "Persona." The exact release date is unknown, but it is expected to be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series.
