On October 24th, the crowdfunding campaign for My Time at Evershine, the new game in the life simulation series following Portia and Sandrock, concluded. Over the course of a month, developers from Pathea Games raised $2.8 million from backers—14 times their initial goal.
My Time at Evershine
The funds raised allowed My Time at Evershine to rank 11th among the most funded games in Kickstarter history. Over 33,000 people participated in the campaign.
The developers' minimum goal was $200,000, which they achieved just 35 minutes after the fundraising began.
However, the final milestone remained unmet: raising $10 million was needed to create a remake of My Time at Portia in the style of the Evershine universe.
Pathea Games turned to crowdfunding to cover development costs. According to them, the creation of their previous game, Sandrock, cost $12 million, and the budget for Evershine is expected to be comparable.
The successful fundraising allowed the studio to forgo releasing the game in early access on Steam, focusing instead on a full release. My Time at Evershine is scheduled for release in spring 2026.
