The Tagansky Court of Moscow continues to issue fines to game developers and publishers. Now, Epic Games has joined the long list of penalized companies.

The reason remains the same — violation of the requirement to localize Russian gamers' personal data. For this, Epic Games must pay 2 million rubles to the Russian treasury.

As a reminder, since the beginning of spring, the court has fined six gaming companies for this reason, including Electronic Arts, Take-Two Interactive, and Embracer Group. Roblox also received a hefty fine, but in its case, the issue was different — the platform was found guilty of promoting extremist activity and the banned LGBT movement in Russia.

Whether any company has paid their fines is unknown.
