Another news about a company closing down. Scottish Axis Studios, specializing in animation, has gone bankrupt and started business liquidation.

As reported by GamesIndustry, the studio faced severe financial problems due to rising costs and a decrease in the number of projects. Axis Studios tried to find a way to avoid closing but was unsuccessful.
It is reported that as a result of the closure, 162 people were left without jobs.
In the gaming industry, Axis Studios is best known for the first trailer of Dead Island, which was so successful that it won an award at the Cannes advertising festival in 2011. They also created cinematics for Gears of War, League of Legends: Wild Rift, Magic: The Gathering, Warframe, and several other games.
