In September 2022, Japanese game designer Toshimichi Mori left Arc System Works after 19 years of work, promising to continue developing games. He intends to keep his promise. Together with Toshinori Aoki, the former vice president of Marvelous, Mori opened a studio called Studio Flare.
The Studio Flare team is already working on the debut action game for consoles. What it will be about and when it will be released, the developers are not yet ready to tell.
It is reported that Studio Flare has attracted investments from NetEase, but the size and terms of the transaction are not disclosed.
