American judge William Alsup dismissed the parents’ lawsuit against Nintendo due to problems with the drift of Joy-Con sticks for the Nintendo Switch. He pointed out that there is a clause in the console user agreement that prohibits suing the company.

The plaintiffs tried to convince the judge that they had every right to proceedings. They say that the user agreement was concluded with their minor children, and those, due to their age, cannot fall under the contract. However, Alsam did not agree. He concluded that the agreement was concluded with the “actual owners” of the console, i.e., with the parents who bought the Switch.
