Pokémon TCG Pocket is one of the mobile hits of 2024. The game has performed so well that the company DeNA, which participated in its development, was forced to revise its financial forecast for October-December 2024.

DeNA informed investors that it now expects to see the gaming division’s revenue exceed 25 billion yen ($158.48 million) for the quarter. By comparison, a quarter ago, it earned half that amount — 11.3 billion yen ($71.6 million).
Additionally, DeNA anticipates that total user spending in its games for October-December 2024 will exceed 85 billion yen ($538.8 million), nearly four times more than the previous three months.
After DeNA announced these figures, its stock price soared. By the evening of December 27, it had increased by 15.58% to 3,115 yen ($19.75) per share.

DeNA is not the only developer of Pokémon TCG Pocket. The company Creatures also worked on the mobile game alongside them. The title was published by The Pokémon Company.
In mid-December, it was announced that Pokémon TCG Pocket had amassed 60 million downloads in a month and a half since its release on October 30. Sensor Tower analysts estimate the game's current revenue at $300 million.
