The developers from the French indie studio The Game Bakers have shared new information about the sales of Cairn—a simulator centered around a mountain climbing journey. The team announced that the game has already attracted over 300,000 players.
Cairn
It's worth remembering that Cairn began selling briskly right after its release on January 29, 2026.
Here's what current sales figures for Cairn look like:
- 100,000 copies in a day;
- 200,000 copies in three days;
- 300,000 copies in a week.
According to estimates by the Gamalytic service, as of today, the Steam version of Cairn alone could have generated over $6 million in gross revenue. However, this is before the deduction of platform fees and taxes, so The Game Bakers would actually receive a smaller amount. Regardless, this is a promising start for an indie studio.
You can play Cairn on PC (via Steam, Epic Games Store, and GOG) and on PlayStation 5 consoles.
