Today, on September 2, employees of the French studio Spiders have gone on strike due to poor working conditions. It was revealed that developers from the Kylotonn studio decided to join them in the protest.

Kylotonn, like Spiders, is a subsidiary of the French publisher Nacon. Its employees are complaining about the same issues such as high staff turnover, hiring difficulties, lack of information about the studio’s future, and so forth.

According to the protestors from Kylotonn, Nacon's managers often claim that studios within the publisher group maintain their independence, but every proposal they put forward is rejected under the pretext of needing to adhere to a "unified vision within the group of companies." With this scenario, studios have a better chance of achieving changes by striking together.

It is unknown whether the entire Kylotonn staff or just a portion of the employees are participating in the strike.

This is not Kylotonn's first strike against Nacon. The developers of the upcoming Test Drive Unlimited Solar Crown organized a picket in July 2023. Apparently, they were not able to defend their demands for changes in working conditions back then.
