The administration of St. Petersburg became interested in the metaverse. According to the vice-governor of the city Stanislav Kazarin, she wants to use metaverse technologies for state platforms.

Their users in the form of digital avatars could “perform legally significant actions.” For example, to communicate with the MFC or keep records of the condition of the facades of houses. According to Kazarin, communication with the state in this format would be much more convenient. But it is still unclear how people will be able to confirm their identity.

The Vice-governor noted that so far this is only an idea. However, later the administration intends to find platform vendors who will deal with the metaverse.
