Composer Ryo Nagamatsu has announced his retirement from Nintendo. He has been cooperating with a Japanese company for 17 years.
On Twitter, the composer wrote that he would now be a freelancer. He wants to work directly with everyone who needs music for their projects.
Nagamatsu joined Nintendo in 2006. The first game of the company in which his music was played was Wii Play. He has also worked on the soundtracks of games such as Wii Sports Resort, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Mario Kart 8 and Splatoon 3.
