Last March, Square Enix released the action-platformer Balan Wonderworld, which immediately received devastating reviews from critics and gamers. After the failure, its creator Yuji Naka left the company. Today he posted a thread on Twitter, where he talked about his relationship with the publisher.

About six months before the release of Balan Wonderworld, the publisher suddenly removed Naka from the post of project director. One of the main reasons is that Naka insisted on revision and did not want to release the game with bugs. As a result, the developer sued Square Enix.

Naka called it a “disgrace” what happened to Balan Wonderworld and said that Square Enix does not care about the quality of games. He did not say how the trial ended.
