The Australian government agency Screen Australia continues to invest in local indie developers. This time it invested a total of one million dollars in the authors of 11 games.
The investment was made through the Games: Expansion Pack fund, which Screen Australia opened last summer.
Screen Australia announced the investment shortly after the country’s government announced the launch of a national policy called Revive to support the arts, culture and entertainment in Australia. As part of it, the authorities pledged to provide Australian game developers with tax benefits and allocate $8.4 million over four years.
