By mid-September 2024, over 3 million people played the dungeon adventure sandbox game Core Keeper. This figure was revealed by the Swedish indie studio Pugstorm on social media.

The audience of Core Keeper expanded significantly after the release of version 1.0. The game was officially launched on August 27, 2024, following its early access period on Steam that began on March 8, 2022.
The growth in the number of players in Core Keeper over time:
- 100 thousand players — March 10, 2022;
- 250 thousand players — March 14, 2022;
- 500 thousand players — March 21, 2022;
- 1 million players — June 30, 2022;
- 2 million players — August 27, 2024;
- 3 million players — August 16, 2024.
After its release, Core Keeper became available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series in addition to Steam.
