The new leadership of "World of Tanks" continues to move away from initiatives associated with the endeavors of the company's previous owner.

According to TASS, "Lesta Games" is cutting ties with the Gaming Industry Association, which was previously considered closely affiliated with the developer.

"The Association did not meet our expectations, and we are indeed planning to leave it. We believe there are more industry organizations now than needed. We support the consolidation of the industry's voice," the company's press service told our colleagues.

In this regard, an unnamed source informed TASS that "Lesta Games" is considering joining either the Organization for the Development of the Video Game Industry (RDVI) or the Association of Industry Professionals in Game Operation and Development (APRIORI).

The latter two do not get along. In particular, a few years ago, a conflict between RDVI and APRIORI became public. At that time, "Lesta Games" stood united with VK Play's head Alexander Mikheev, who also leads APRIORI.

How the new leadership of "World of Tanks" and "World of Warships" will act is an open question. They might very well choose the side of RDVI, whose founders today include representatives from Hobby World and Buka Entertainment.

The departure from what is essentially their own association continues the series of steps taken by "Lesta Games" current top management away from the initiatives actively pursued within the company prior to its transition under state control in the summer of 2025.

Previously, the developer withdrew from participating in the related RED EXPO exhibition and RED CONF conference, and apparently ceased supporting the news portal DevReality. Currently, their websites, like the Gaming Industry Association's website, are no longer operational.
