Activision's Chief Marketing Officer Tyler Bahl shared details about the promotion of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6. He mentioned that the marketing budget for the game was no less than that of any major blockbuster film this year.

Bahl and his team aim not only to boost sales of the new Call of Duty installment but also to raise awareness of it among non-gaming audiences. They find it crucial to "make Black Ops 6 the number one game this fall." Moreover, they want to embed it into the "cultural context."

The release of Black Ops 6 will be the first main game of the Call of Duty series to be launched after Microsoft's acquisition of Activision Blizzard was completed in October 2023. The game is set to release on October 25 for PC, as well as PlayStation and Xbox consoles via Game Pass.
