In a financial report released in May, Take-Two wrote that it is important for the company to maintain high ratings for its projects on gaming platforms, as this draws the attention of new players. When projects start receiving a large number of low scores, they become less attractive to the audience. Ultimately, this harms the company’s business.
“A drop in ratings can lead to loss of players and revenue, additional advertising and marketing costs, and reputational damage,” Take-Two noted.
