In mid-August, Supermassive Games announced mass layoffs, through which 75 individuals were expected to leave the studio. It appears that the layoff process has now concluded.

The end of the layoffs was reported on social media by the former Director of IT and Infrastructure at Supermassive Games, Frank Tindle. He confirmed that several weeks ago, the threat of layoffs loomed over him and several colleagues, and now it has materialized. Tindle had worked at the studio for over 16 years.

Tindle's statements align with British legislation, as Supermassive Games is based in the UK. According to the existing rules in the country, companies cannot arbitrarily lay off part of their staff—they must first conduct consultations with employees. Moreover, if the company employs more than 100 people, the process must begin at least 45 days before the actual start of layoffs. It has been just over this amount of time since the announcement of changes at Supermassive Games.

As noted by Insider Gaming, before the layoffs, Supermassive Games employed over 400 people. Now, the number of employees has decreased to around 300.
