Sumo Group Holding has announced the takeover of the British mobile studio Midoki. According to the company, the purchase will help it increase its presence in the market of free-play games and game services.
The amount of the transaction was not disclosed.
Midoki will preserve the freedom of creativity. She will continue to work on original projects, but under the Sumo Group brand.
Midoki was founded in 2011 by Jonathan Webb (Jonathan Webb) and Daniel Martinez-Norman (Daniel Martinez-Normand) — former top managers of BigBig Studios, now closed “daughter” of Sony. The studio is known primarily for the Plunder Pirates and Knighthood strategies.
