Subway Surfers runner has crossed another billion-dollar milestone. The Danish company SYBO reported that in the 11 years since its release, its game has been downloaded over 4 billion times.
Subway Surfers has recently started experiencing a new surge in popularity. In February, in an interview with Bloomberg, SYBO CEO Mathias Gredal Nervig (Mathias Gredal Nørvig) said that interest in the game has grown largely thanks to TikTok. Videos have become viral on the social network, in which Subway Surfers are shown in one part of the screen, and in the other — shots from Family Guy, excerpts of political speeches or, for example, videos with kinetic sand slicing.
By the way, at the same time Gredal Nervig noted that Subway Surfers had 3.7 billion downloads. This means that in February and part of March alone, the runner was downloaded about 300 million times.
