The developers from Unknown Worlds had barely announced that Subnautica 2 sold 1 million copies when their parent company, KRAFTON, delivered the news. They shared that the game hit the milestone of 2 million copies sold in just 12 hours from its release.

It is likely that Subnautica 2 is now the fastest-selling game in KRAFTON's portfolio. Previously, this title belonged to the life simulator inZOI, which was sold 1 million times in one week.
KRAFTON also reported that at launch, the peak online player count for Subnautica 2 across all platforms exceeded 651,000 people, with the majority on Steam — 467,500 people.
Currently, Subnautica 2 is in early access, and the date for its full release is unknown. Players can begin their underwater adventure on PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store, as well as on Xbox Series consoles, including through the Game Pass subscription.
