On the evening of December 16th, GFA Games released the multiplayer shooter PIONER in early access: in the "Rostelecom" store for residents of Russia and Belarus, and on Steam for residents of other countries. The game's debut was not the best.
PIONER
There is no information about PIONER's performance on the "Rostelecom Games" platform, but there is data from Steam. At the time of writing, the shooter had received 318 reviews on Steam, of which only 45% were positive. As a result, it earned a "mixed" rating.
In most reviews, Steam users criticized PIONER for technical issues. For instance, they complain that after the prologue, the game crashes and fails to load. Additionally, many were dissatisfied with the servers' performance and recurring bugs.
According to data from SteamDB, the peak concurrent users of the Steam version of PIONER reached 903. It might increase over the weekend, but this is still a low number for a multiplayer game.
It's worth noting that PIONER approached early access with 500,000 wishlists. How many of these have converted into sales is unknown.
