Sony has announced that from June 1, its gaming division will have two heads at once — Hideaki Nishino and Herman Hulst.
On the left — Nisino, on the right — Hulst
Nisino will take over the post of CEO of a business group dedicated to the development of platforms. In turn, Hulst will head a business group that includes PlayStation studios.
Both will report to Hiroki Totoki, Chairman of Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE) and CFO of Sony. Totoki is currently acting as CEO of SIE himself. He took it up after the resignation of Jim Ryan.
Nisino is a Sony veteran. He started working at the company in 2000 and has held various senior positions since then. Since 2016, Nisino has been Senior Vice President of Global Product Strategy and Management at SIE.
Hulst has also been working at Sony for a long time. He has been running PlayStation studios since 2011, and before that was managing director of Guerrilla Games.
