Sergey Galenkin, director of publishing strategy at Epic Games, probably came under a wave of cuts in the company. Galenkin's Linkedin account states that he worked at Epic Games until September 2023 inclusive.

The game channels drew attention to the change in the resume (thanks for the tip-off to the Telegram channel "Magic Chest"). Galenkin himself did not comment on leaving Epic Games. He noted in social networks only that now he can write about video games again.

Galenkin worked at Epic Games for almost eight years: he got a job at the company in February 2016. Prior to that, he worked in Wargaming, Red Beat, Nival and other game development teams. Galenkin is also known as the creator of the analytical service SteamSpy.

Recall that last week Epic Games announced the decision to lay off more than 800 employees. Then she said that two-thirds of layoffs will take place outside the core business and will not be related to the development of key projects.

Update: Sergey Galenkin has released a statement in connection with his departure from Epic Games. He noted that the company is being rebuilt in Epic 5.0. Previously, it was a game and engine developer, and plans to become a platform. "I am not suitable for this Epic, it needs other people," said Galenkin.
