Jagex has announced the acquisition of Croatian Gamepires, best known for SCUM survival. She did not disclose the purchase price.
This is the second takeover for Jagex in its entire history: in July, the company bought Pipeworks Studio, which dealt with Terraria ports. Jagex hopes that the deal with Gamepires will help strengthen the market for gaming services.
Under the terms of the deal, Jagex will help Gamepires bring SCUM to full release — the game has been in early access since 2018.
