Game designer Sam Barlow, who once worked on Silent Hill: Origins and Silent Hill: Shattered Memories, said in an interview with PCGamesN portal that he does not envy the position of the Bloober Team. In his opinion, developing a remake of Silent Hill 2 is a very difficult task.

Barlow admitted that he personally doesn’t like playing remakes too much. He has no idea what the authors of a remake of a game like Silent Hill 2 should do to please all gamers. Nevertheless, Barlow wished the Bloober Team good luck.

The game designer added that he was pleased with Konami‘s decision to release several different games within the franchise at once. He believes that the ideal option would be to turn Silent Hill into an anthology of psychological horror. This would open up great opportunities for experimentation, including with gameplay.
