The developers have also released the first major patch for the game, which contains more than 1,800 changes. Among them are updated voice acting of the prologue and satellite replicas, correction of combat balance, new visual effects and improved AI for NPCs.

Recall how the previous Owlcat Games were sold:

  • released in September 2018, Pathfinder: Kingmaker reached the mark of 1 million copies sold three years after its release;
  • Released in September 2021, Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous sold 250,000 copies in its first week. By January 2023, its sales exceeded 1 million copies.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader was released on December 7, 2023 on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series. According to GameDiscoverCo estimates, by the end of December, it earned $12.6 million on Steam alone, making it the highest-grossing novelty of the month on the platform.

Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader currently has over 9,500 reviews on Steam, of which 75% are positive. At its peak, 45,405 Steam users were playing it at the same time — just 1,319 fewer people than played Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous at the time.
