Capcom has announced that sales of the Resident Evil 4 remake continue to grow even a year and a half after its release. They have surpassed the 8 million copy mark.
Previous sales milestones of the game:
▫️3 million copies — within two days (March 26, 2023);
▫️4 million copies — within two weeks (April 7, 2023);
▫️5 million copies — within four months (July 20, 2023);
▫️7 million copies — just under a year (March 13, 2024).
The original Resident Evil 4, released in 2005, sold over 13.3 million copies, including re-releases for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Total sales for the entire Resident Evil series as of June 30, 2024, have reached 160 million copies.
