The game achieved this result two days after its release.

The developers of Windrose thanked gamers for their support and described reaching the half-million mark as "a touching and responsible moment." They added that they plan to actively improve the game — the next hotfix is scheduled to be released tomorrow, April 17.

Windrose debuted in early access on Steam and Epic Games Store on April 14, receiving a warm reception. At the time of this report, the Steam version's rating remains at a "very positive" level (87%), and its peak online presence exceeded 97,900 players.

The full release of Windrose is expected within the next two years.

Windrose is developed by the Uzbekistan-based studio Kraken Express (formerly Windrose Crew). Little is known about the team. Recently, in an interview with Automaton, Windrose producer Phillip Molodkovets revealed that Kraken Express has about 60 employees, many of whom are seasoned industry professionals. It was not specified where the studio's staff previously worked, but according to LinkedIn, Molodkovets has worked for over 11 years at "Lesta Games," where he held the position of publishing producer and was responsible for a "new product" in recent years.
