On January 31, the original Final Fantasy VII turned 26 years old. In honor of the anniversary of the game, producer Yoshinori Kitase announced that sales of the project have reached 14.1 million copies.
Kitase also said that Square Enix officially registered “Final Fantasy VII Day” in Japan yesterday. It will be celebrated every January 31.
