This announcement was made by the game's creators on the social network X. They did not provide detailed information in their post, but some data was shared in a separate post by tinyBuild's head, Alex Nichiporchik.

Specifically, Nichiporchik mentioned that streamers helped boost the game's sales by engaging a large number of players. About 5% of users became so engrossed in SAND: Raiders of Sophie that they've already spent over 50 hours in the game each. However, the game's median playtime is significantly shorter at 5 hours and 19 minutes.

Previously, Nichiporchik also wrote that in its first five days, SAND: Raiders of Sophie generated over $2 million in revenue. By today, this figure is expected to have risen, but by how much is not disclosed.

At the same time, the situation with reviews for SAND: Raiders of Sophie on Steam has worsened. On its debut day, the game had 60% positive reviews, but now it's down to 55%. The action game continues to receive criticism for server issues and its overall unfinished state.

SAND: Raiders of Sophie was released in early access format on Steam on June 22, 2026. When it will have a full release is still unknown.
