Capcom announced that Resident Evil Requiem has surpassed this milestone faster than any other part of the series.

Let us recall that Capcom last disclosed the game's sales on March 4, when they amounted to 5 million copies. Therefore, Resident Evil Requiem took only 12 days to sell an additional 1 million copies.
Capcom did not share the breakdown of sales by platform or any other game statistics.
