Capcom shared another achievement of Monster Hunter: World in honor of the anniversary of the series — in March 2024, Monster Hunter turned 20 years old.

The 25 million copies sold also include sales of the Monster Hunter World: Iceborne Master Edition add-on. The company did not specify exactly how much they amounted to. But judging by information from the Capcom website, as of December 31, 2023, sales of this edition of the supplement amounted to approximately 4.5 million copies.
Now Monster Hunter: World is the best—selling part of the series. It is followed by Monster Hunter Rise, whose sales at the end of last year amounted to 14.2 million copies.
Sales of all Monster Hunter series games as of the end of 2023 are 97 million copies.
Monster Hunter: World launched in January 2018 on PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and in August of the same year it reached the PC. Capcom is currently working on a new full-fledged part of the Monster Hunter Wilds series, which is scheduled for release in 2025.
