During the presentation of the financial report to investors, Sony announced that Helldivers 2 surpassed all other games published by it in terms of the number of copies sold in the three months since its release.

The previous record holder was God of War: Ragnarök, whose sales for the debut three months amounted to 11 million copies. It is important to note that God of War: Ragnarök is only available on PlayStation consoles, whereas Helldivers 2 can also be played on PC.
Sony did not specify how sales of Helldivers 2 were distributed between platforms.
Recall that Helldivers 2 was recently withdrawn from sale on Steam in 180 countries. The game can no longer be purchased, for example, in Armenia, Estonia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Georgia. Sony did not comment on the situation, but it is assumed that the game has stopped being sold in regions where the PlayStation Network service does not officially work. Sony previously announced that it would begin to require linking Steam and PlayStation Network accounts, but after massive criticism from gamers, it abandoned this requirement.
