It took almost eight years for an indie bagel about dark, dark dungeons and heroes with neuroses to achieve this indicator.

The game got into early access on January 30, 2015, and its full release took place on January 19, 2016. The project instantly became a classic in the rogue genre and was widely recognized (its ratings on Metacritic — 84, and on Steam — 85%).

For the indie scene, the project also showed excellent results in terms of sales. In 2016 alone, the game sold one million copies.

And, as the latest news shows, the game demonstrates an excellent tail of sales. A year ago, the developer studio Red Hook reported overcoming the threshold of 5 million copies sold, now it is 6 million. In both cases, we are talking about sales of only the original game.

However, if we talk about sales taking into account DLC (two have been released to date), then the circulation of Darkest Dungeon has reached 16 million.
